The Lexus lineup of SUVs is long and legendary. This entry was redesigned in 2024; it is still built on a truck-based platform which gives it additional strength and durability.Each and every 2025 Lexus GX model is not only full time 4WD but is powered by a 3.4L turbocharged V6 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain combo offers up to 349 HP and a maximum towing capacity of 6,955 lbs. when properly equipped, (per Toyota/Lexus specs).
For off-road handling, the GX 550 also has a High-Low gear selector, a Center Limited-Slip & Locking Differential, Front Independent Suspension and Front & Rear Stabilizer Bars.
