The Ford F-Series pickup trucks deliver
a wide range of utility and performance features to drivers in
Milledgeville, Eatonton, and Sparta. The 2018 Ford F-150 is an iconic
full-size truck, while the 2018 Ford Super Duty series offers a full
lineup of heavy-duty pickups that includes the F-250, F-350, and F-450.
Every Ford truck is built with the power to tow heavy loads of cargo along with a durable truck bed that can handle a heavy payload with ease. In each model, the bed is made from a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that's resistant to dents and scrapes.
The size of your truck varies depending on which cab you choose. All Ford trucks are offered with a range of different configurations and cab sizes. To help you decide which one is right for you, Butler Ford Milledgeville explores the differences between these configurations with a rundown of the Regular Cab vs. SuperCab vs. SuperCrew.
Regular Cab
If you don't have a need to transport a big crew, then the Ford Regular Cab setup will likely suit your driving needs just fine. This option, however, isn't available on some luxury-level models. Highlights of the Regular Cab setup include:
F-150 | F-250 | F-350 | F-450
Seating Capacity | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 |
Truck Bed Size | 6.5 feet/8 feet | 6.75 feet/8 feet | 6.75 feet/8 feet | 8 feet |
In all four vehicles, you'll have one bench seat and a pair of doors. Whether you're hopping in the F-150 or one of the Super Duty pickups, you and your two passengers will each have 40.8 inches headroom and 43.9 inches of legroom.
SuperCab
If you need added room for a bigger crew or storing small cargo inside, then moving up to the SuperCab setup may be the best option. This cab is available on the F-150 and select Super Duty models; however, it is not available on the F-450. The cab and the cargo boxes that fit with this option feature…
F-150 | F-250 | F-350 | F-450
Seating Capacity | 6 | 6 | 6 | N/A |
Truck Bed Size | 6.5 feet/8 feet | 6.75 feet/8 feet | 6.75 feet/8 feet | N/A |
The
main difference between the SuperCab and Regular Cab is that the
SuperCab adds a second row of seats. Each side of the truck also gets a
door for easy access to the back seats. These doors are narrower than
the front ones and the handle is located inside the door frame, which
requires you to open the front door before you can open the back door.
Up front, there's still 40.8 inches of headroom and 43.9 inches of legroom. Your second-row passengers will have a comfortable 40.3 inches of rear headroom and 33.5 inches of rear legroom.
While the total seating capacity is six people, you can choose to switch out the front middle seat for a center console and armrest and have room for five instead.
SuperCrew and Crew Cab
The
largest cab available on the Ford F-150 is the SuperCrew cab. With the
Super Duty series, you'll see the largest configuration referred to as
the Crew Cab. While they go by different names, the two spacious cabins
have the same dimensions.
On the F-150, this cab is reserved for the highest and most luxurious trim levels. While the SuperCrew and Crew Cab each have the same passenger capacity as the SuperCab, it provides even more room for passengers to stretch out and enjoy the ride. This setup features:
F-150 | F-250 | F-350 | F-450
Seating Capacity | 6 | 6 | 6 | 6 |
Truck Bed Size | 5.5 feet/6.5 feet | 6.75 feet/8 feet | 6.75 feet/8 feet | 8 feet |

The SuperCrew and Crew Cab offer passengers in the backseat more room than the SuperCab. It lengthens both the body and the interior. While the front row's dimensions are unchanged, the back row now has 40.4 inches of headroom and 43.6 inches of rear legroom.
The most noticeable difference is the doors. The larger cabin replaces the narrow doors and hidden handles with a full-size set of doors that look just like the front doors and can open and close independently.
