KEY POINTS ABOUT THIS Odyssey
While SUVs have dominated the market over the recent years, passenger vans still have a solid foothold and desire for families, especially when extra seating is necessary. The Odyssey was updated in 2018 with minor tweaks to looks, equipment, and trims. Each and every 2024 Honda Odyssey is powered by a 3.5L V6 engine matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain offers up to 280 HP and 262 lb-ft. of torque. When it is properly equipped, it can even tow up to 3,500 lbs.
All four tires are road ready and will provide excellent comfort and control.
The exterior is Black in color and shows normal wear and use yet is free from any damage caused by accidents or other incidents.
The cabin is wide and open, having seating for up to 8 passengers. This is because Honda provided every Odyssey with a removeable center section in the second row. All of the seats are clean and well-kept.
One of the advantages of passenger vans is the copious interior cargo volume available with the seats folded. If all of the seats are in use, the Odyssey has just under 39 cu-ft. behind the third row, expanding up to almost 156 cu-ft. with the rear seats folded.
There were 5 main trim levels in the 2024 lineup with the Sport trim third up the list. It builds upon the base EX-L trim by specifically adding a Black grille and window trim, 19-inch gloss black wheels, Black leather upholstery with red stitching & Red ambient interior lighting.
Highlights to some of additional features include:
Safety and Security
- Forward collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
- Lane departure mitigation (warns you of a lane departure when a turn signal isn't used and can automatically steer to maintain lane position)
- Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Honda and the car in front)
- Blind-spot monitoring (alerts you if a vehicle in the next lane over is in your blind spot)
- Rear cross-traffic alert (warns you if a vehicle behind you is about to cross your vehicle's path while in reverse)
Technology and Telematics
- Without the need for a manufacturer specific app to be installed on the smart device, the vehicle infotainment system can access and control functions of a smart device physically plugged-into the vehicle.
